Agreed on the unhealthy yogurt out there! When I developed a food sensitivity to corn I had to begin reading labels for corn ingredients such as corn starch added to food. There are very few yogurt brands that do not have LOADS of additives. Now that I have spent enough time reading labels I love Liberte (they use natural sweeteners), PC Greek yogurt (skim milk, bacteria culture), and Jerseyland Organic yogurt (especially the vanilla 8% fat). I try to buy plain but occasionally splurge on sweetened varieties and treat them as a "treat" like ice cream.

Good tips in this article. I think most people buy sweetened yogurt or yogurt with fruit at the bottom, which I personally can't stand because it has way too much sugar.

This is what I do: mix a serving of plain non-fat greek yogurt with half an individual container of fruit at the bottom yogurt.

You're welcome Elizabeth! I am impressed with the store and the owners too. I went there again yesterday after having lunch at Belle's with my husband and kids. We loved the free samples of organic lemonade and carbonated raspberry tea. I bought more of their (very) fresh produce and my daughter said she'll try some gum from their store. She was happy to find treats for our dog in Antony's, which she gave to him to reward him for waiting patiently in the car.

I just found out about these guys today! I biked over to their shop and was amazed at the selection, the quality of produce and the owners knowledge about fair trade, organic & locally produce product. They have an amazing herb & spice section, the best in quality I've ever seen and I got a couple of free samples of some of their organic herbal teas which I can't wait to steep. Antony & Sons is a local business so its a great way to support your South Surrey community. Thanks, Elizabeth @ Ocean Park Butchers for sending me their way!

I have been looking for good ideas on natural health and think that your site is a great resource. It is difficult to locate reliable information on the Internet, but I think I can use this information! If you are aware of any more honest ideas, please don't hesistate to publish them. Thanks a bunch!

How long can you keep bananas in the freezer? Do they lose any nutritional value once frozen?

I enjoyed your post. If I may, I would like to suggest my farm web site.

Sumas Mountain Farms is the only producer of 100% certified-organic, lifetime grass-fed & finished beef in the Lower Mainland of BC (near Vancouver,
Canada). We also offer chicken, eggs, pepperoni, jerky, salami, sausage, farmer sausage, steak and more.

Because our beef is 100% grass-fed & finished, the quality of the meat is exceptional, and the flavor is unsurpassed. Plus, it is more nutrient-dense and packed with healthful Omega-3's than conventional beef, which is healthier for you, your family, and the planet.

Please visit http://www.sumasmountainfarms.ca/ for more information! We have plenty of recipes for you to try.

Thanks.

This reminds me of when I used to medicate with food way back in college at the University of Hawaii. My favorite was a huge thing of french vanilla icecream. So glad those days are long gone!
There's great info on this blog. Thanks!
